Paul E. Beatty
November 21, 1958 to May 5, 2004

Paul E. Beatty, 45, of Kahului, died May 5, 2004 at the university Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV.  Paul was born November 21, 1958 in Gary, Indiana.  He was a purchasing manager at the Four Seasons Resort Wailea, Maui Beach Hotel, and the Intercontinental Wailea now known as the Marriott Wailea.  He also worked ay Star Market in Kahului and Kihei.  He chaired the Terry Fox run event at the Four Seasons, and co-chaired the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  He enjoyed Hawaiian and country music, sky diving, traveling, antiques, hanging out at the beach and family gatherings.

Paul was a "haole" but blended in so well as a local because he spoke "Pidgin" and knew the secret local handshake.  Some people even thought he was a "Potogee".  He had a bigger than life personality with a heart of gold filled with aloha.  Whenever he walked into a room, he always had a huge smile.  He also had a loud, outrageous laugh that was so genuine that his whole body would shake whenever he laughed.  He was the perfect Emcee for everyone's party as he was always the life of the party cracking jokes and making everyone laugh.

He is survived by his family, his late wife Denise Marie Cadiz-Beatty, daughter Tiffany-Marie Beatty of Kahului and son Jonathan Paul Beatty of Kahului, his father James Beatty, Sr. of Arizona, his late mother, Betty Ann Beatty, brother Jim Beatty (Claudia) of Arizona, sister Carol Christen (Craig) of Arizona, sister Kim Wallace (Jay) of Arizona, mother-in-law Ann Cadiz (David) of Kahului, late father-in-law Florendo Cadiz, brother-in-law Mark Cadiz (Corinna) of Kahului, sister-in-law Christine Johnson (Gary) of Los Angeles, sister-in-law Lisa Lamille (Maston) and nieces and nephews.  The Beatty and Cadiz ohana would like to thank all our family and friends for their love and support.

Viewing will be from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, June 4th, with a prayer service at 7:30pm.  Viewing will continue at the church on Saturday, June 5th from 9:30am to 11am, Mass at 11am.  Burial will be held at 12:30pm at maui Memorial Park.  The family requests aloha attire.

Ballard Family Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
