Bruce A. Hunter, Jr.
September 2, 1971 to June 12, 2001

Once upon a time there was a little boy who believed that "even an ant can move a rubber-tree plant." What a great Disney song. We sang it often as he walked across the lawn each day to attend grammar school.

Bruce became a personal trainer, a body-building champion, holding the title of Mr. Western U.S.A. at the young age of 17. Muscle and Fitness magazine sought him out and he was to be their centerfold. he was headed for the stars. It was a glorious time . . .

Five months later he had a crippling accident and was robbed of his dreams.

Bruce then set upon a course of a different nature, a course of freedom from pain. He was a very determined and dedicated young man. He made this, as well as unity with the Divine, his life's work. Always he would reach out to those in pain, whether it be physical, mental or emotional pain. He wanted to touch as many souls as he could while he was on this earth.

He said he had been touched and told by God to help all the suffering souls. I always got chills when he would share this intention with me.

Bruce was my inspiration and my greatest fan. I will miss him terribly.

So, you may be thinking, "Where's the happily ever after?" It is right here with us now. His experience and mine, as a result of being by his side through it all, has left me with these messages to share with all of you.

  • Limitations exist only as beliefs in your mind.
  • The journey itself is the reward - not the destination, be it short or long.
  • Embrace each experience you are gifted with, no matter what it brings.
  • The period between "Once Upon a Time" and "& "Happily Ever After," is "THE GLORIOUS TIME." That's truly all that matters.
  • From each challenge we grow and we come to know how courageous and brave we truly are.

On Saturday, September 15th, @ 10:30 A.M., family and friends will gather at Hana Bay to return my sweet son's ashes to the source, by way of the sea. I invite you all to come and join us in the celebration of the Strength and Faith that Bruce's life represented. A reception will follow in my home in Hana.
